Modernism to Contemporary Art
We will explore the history of art from Realism to Contemporary art in lecture style. Keep up with the textbook reading, preferably by reading AHEAD. Use the outline sheets to record information that you get from research on your own to enhance your learning.
Literacy Across the Curriculum: Art Criticism: Comparative Analysis
Learning to write and speak about artists, their work and the time period that they created within enriches your understanding of your own art.
Images should be approved, graphic organizers done and well on your way with the draft! Remember, no research!
Exam and AP Exam
The final exam is 20% of the course mark. Is is intensive and challenging. Reminder to students that if you would like to write the Advanced Placement exam in Art history to get your application in to Mr. Hooper for the early bird discount.
